The project also had the benefit of ensuring good training outcomes for traditional owners and indigenous South Australian in mining, plant operations and archaeology. The project included stripping topsoil from the Echo Borrow Pit and the Sand Dunes Temp Haul Road to form part of the upgrade of the TSF5 tailing storage facility at BHPs Olympic Dam.

SCOPE OF WORKS
- Submission of management plans and methodology for the works which is at a standard acceptable to the Aboriginal Corporations and BHP.
- Maintaining industry participation requirements.
- Managing expectations of the indigenous monitors and negotiating the evolving methodology.
- Mobilisation of 2 x CAT730 Dump Trucks, Tandem Watercart, CAT140M Grader, CAT328D Excavator, D8T Dozer and mine spec LVs.
- Setup of safety controls to have Heavy Earthmoving Plant and people (foot mobile or LVs) working in close proximity.
- Clear & Grub and Topsoil Strip of 30,000 m2 of the Echo Borrow Pit.
- Clear & Grub and Topsoil Strip 45,000 m2 of the Sand Dunes Temp Haul Road.
