This facility is used for the disposal of commercial and industrial waste, domestic waste, inert waste, municipal solid waste and intermediate waste.

SCOPE OF WORKS

• Construction of a new landfill cell
• Rock blasting, completed inhouse
• Rock breaking & ripping
• Excavation of approximately 55,000m3 of soil & rock
• Construction of clay bunds
• Installation of geosynthetic liners
• Installation of a leachate collection system
• Placement of sidewall protection layers
• Workforce peaked at 10 personnel achieving 6,275 hours
• Utilising equipment including excavators up to 50T, 14M grader, D8T dozer, articulated dump trucks, moxy water truck & rollers
