The airstrip is an integral part of the structure of Heathgate’s organisation.

SCOPE OF WORKS

• 6000 tonnes of Calcrete was crushed and stockpiled on site in anticipation for the airstrip closure.
• Intensive 3 week occupation of the airstrip
• Material was conditioned and spread using multiple scrapers.
• Subgrade was tyned and conditioned before new calcrete layer was laid out. Compaction and surface finish was achieved using a mixture of multi tyre and smooth drum roller.
• 4Km of electrical trenching for electrical cable install
