Yellow cake is the raw uranium material produced by Heathgate at their processing facility adjacent to the new storage area.

SCOPE OF WORKS

  • Condition material, place and compact and trim subgrade.
  • Automatic GPS Grade control was used on this project due to the tight survey specs – Subgrade survey completed and passed.

Civil works included;

  • Laying of 90m RCBC
  • 130m of 600mm welded Poly Pipe
  • Swale drain construction
  • Geo fabric headwalls outlets covered with scour protection rock.
  • Crushed and hauled 4,500 tonnes of Calcrete material from quarry 35km from site.
  • Used GPS equipped 12M grader to complete final capping layer of Calcrete surface – As-con survey completed and passed.
